At a Top Management Conference held today at Oxon Hoath in Kent the Chairman of Tindle Newspapers, Sir Ray Tindle said the company had survived the recession so far without significant damage to its 200 titles, its staff or its financial reserves.

The Conference felt the Press was probably halfway through this very severe downturn and that Tindle Newspapers had survived this recession remarkably well.

Brian Doel, Group Managing Director, introduced speakers covering “Managing in a Crisis”, “On Line Publishing”, “London Representation”, “Promotions and Selling” and “Money Making Ideas”.

Brian Doel and Wendy Craig, director and assistant to the Chairman, both addressed the general managers present, as did Sir Ray, on continuing the successful fight against the effects of the recession. It was unanimously agreed the Tindle Newspaper Group would survive the entire recession with flags flying.
