How we make a difference: Tourists may flock to the area but for our readers it is home and we aim to ensure that our communities have a strong voice and can thrive with the emphasis on solid local reporting designed to maintain the strong community feel that could so easily be lost.

Our history: The Tenby Observer was first published by Richard Manson in 1853 and claimed its place in newspaper history when in 1907 its editor, Frank B Mason, protested through the law courts at being excluded from a Tenby Borough Council meeting. He lost the case, thus highlighting the deficiency in British law. As a result, the Admission of the Press Act was passed in 1908. The paper became part of Tindle Newspapers in 1978.
