Channel Islands firms given top marketing advice at Business Club events

Businesses in Jersey and Guernsey benefitted from expert advice on how to maximise the impact of their marketing activity during our exclusive series of free radio advertiser events.

The Channel 103 and Island FM Business Club sessions, organised by our radio stations with global marketing leaders Evolve Media Sales, updated delegates on the best ways to reach customers in the current economic climate and fast changing media landscape.

Businesses attending the event had the opportunity to join each station’s Business Club, providing access to marketing opportunities at discounted prices for an extended period, which gave firms the chance to plan their future marketing at an agreed rate.

Popular station Channel 103 broadcasts to Jersey on 103.7FM, online and DAB+, while Island FM goes out to listeners in Guernsey on 104.7FM, Alderney on 93.7FM as well as online and DAB+.

The Channel 103 Business Club 2023, launched in September across four days at Radisson Blu Jersey, attracted more than 500 businesses, the highest turnout to date.

Customer insights

The free events, entitled ‘the Power of Radio in a Digital World’, provided local business owners with insights into how customers want to engage with brands.

Evolve Media Sales international guest speaker Nick Shaw, who hosted the event, said: “This year’s Channel 103 Business Growth Events were the best yet, with record levels of interest from the business community, plus a sellout Business Club membership.

“Once again the Jersey business community have turned out in their hundreds to gain valuable ideas on how to grow their business in 2024, plus take advantage of the annual Channel 103 Business Club Membership, which just keeps going from strength to strength.

“We can’t wait to get back to this beautiful island to begin preparations for the launch of Business Club 2024.”

The annual Free Business Growth Events for Island FM, held earlier this month at Cobo Bay Hotel, were similarly successful.

Free sessions

The free sessions provided local businesses with updates on customer buying behaviour in the digital age, backed with useful tips and techniques on how local business owners can drive digital engagement using the power of radio.

Businesses were offered the exclusive opportunity to join the Island FM Business Club Membership, which guaranteed them marketing campaign savings.

Nick Shaw said: “The Guernsey business community once again showed their appetite to grow their businesses and the feedback from the attendees was incredible.

“It is always a pleasure working with media companies and businesses who are looking to thrive and Island FM this year have once again provided the Guernsey business community with the most powerful route to increase market share.”

Quality listening

“Channel 103 and Island FM are trusted by our loyal listening audience, plus the advertisers who engage with them through our channels, to provide high quality listening.

“Working with Evolve, we have seen a superb response for the marketing memberships available and we are now looking forward to working with these businesses to support their future marketing campaigns, helping them drive their businesses forward over the year ahead.”

The Channel Islands events success comes after the counterpart presentations for Media Isle of Man in June attracted their largest ever turnout.

More than 400 businesses benefitted from expert advice on how to maximise the impact of their marketing activity during an exclusive series of free Isle of Man Newspapers events, organised in June for the second year running by Media Isle of Man with Evolve Media Sales.
