The communities we serve: Delivering local news to the people of Mid Wales, serving Cardigan Bay, Ceredigion, Gwynedd and North Powys.

Our approach to local news: We tell the stories about the news and events that matter to people at the community level. We share their news, sports and all the happenings that make them sigh, cry and laugh week in, week out. If it matters to them, it matters to us.

What is great about the area we serve: Mid Wales is a huge area geographically, but we make it smaller by keeping people informed, telling them what’s happening in their communities, respecting their history, heritage and events that make this huge area unique.

How we help advertising clients: Our five regional editions ensure that the message of any advertiser is met locally, providing a distinctive and unique local voice in the community marketplace. Only Cambrian News has the local knowledge and local expertise to make local businesses relevant.

“Our website is constantly updated, ensuring it’s the only up-to-date source for news, entertainment, business, and sports.”

- Cambrian News

How we make a difference: Every week, the journalists at Cambrian News provide the latest news that matters to the communities we serve. Our website is constantly updated, ensuring it’s the only up-to-date source for news, entertainment, business, and sports. Our five regional editions tailor-make content for the communities we serve. We’re loud and proud about mid Wales.

Our history: The Cambrian News can boast over a century and a half of service to the community and celebrated its 150th birthday in 2010. It began in Bala in October 1860 as a four-page supplement, called the Merioneth Herald, but became known as the Cambrian News just four years later, based in Aberystwyth.
