Devon and Cornwall firms given top marketing advice at Business Club events

Businesses in Devon and Cornwall received expert advice on how to maximise the return on their marketing spend during an exclusive series of free advertising events.

Representatives of companies from across the two counties attended our Business Growth sessions, organised with global marketing leaders Evolve Media Sales, which updated delegates on the latest effective ways to engage new customers as people turn to a range of platforms for news and information.

Attendees had the opportunity to join each county’s Business Club, providing access to marketing opportunities at discounted prices for an extended period, which gave firms the chance to plan their future marketing at a clear rate.

After the Tindle Devon Business Club proved a success in 2023, with positive attendance levels and feedback from businesses, the offering was expanded to Cornwall this year.

The 2024 business growth events, presented by Evolve’s international marketing consultant Nick Shaw, took place at key locations including Tavistock and Newton Abbott in Devon, as well as Saltash and Mawgan Porth in neighbouring Cornwall.

The feedback from businesses across both regions was positive, with the Devon sessions achieving the highest ever level of attendance to date.

Nick Shaw said: “With the continued growth each year in demand for places at our Tindle Devon Business Growth Events, it was exciting to be able to extend the opportunity this year to the Cornish business community.

“We were delighted with the reaction from the business owners and managers that attended.

“The reason why this event receives such positive feedback is we do not just share ideas and current digital trends but provide businesses with a multi-media marketing solution that is going to assist them in driving digital engagement and ultimately grow their client base.

“Such an approach is ‘top of mind’ for local businesses right now, so we look forward to returning in 2025 at new locations across Devon and Cornwall, to be announced in due course.”

Simon Dixon-Phillip, Publishing Director at Tindle Newspapers Westcountry Ltd and Cornwall Ltd, said: “Cornwall’s first-ever Business Club really showcased the local business and promoted its multi format platforms and opportunities to customers.

“The various venues across the county provided a fabulous opportunity to meet both current and new customers. Sign-up to the Club at the events was really encouraging and customer feedback has been very positive both about the Club initiative and the ongoing print-digital media campaigns now running.”
