The communities we serve: The Forest of Dean and surrounding areas.

Our approach to local news: We report on what matters to our readers, holding authority to account as well as reporting on human interest stories and providing in-depth sport and events coverage. We report on local council and parish council meetings and activities important to local groups and societies.

What is great about the area we serve: The Forest of Dean is a diverse and beautiful location, with a rich history. A popular destination for tourists, the Forest is a haven for not only those wanting to see the great outdoors, but to visit the area’s many towns and villages.

How we help advertising clients: Drawing upon a strong understanding of the marketing reach of our print and digital platforms, the commercial team work closely with advertising clients to ensure they market their goods and services with positive messaging for our engaged audience. We feature business profiles to let readers know the stories behind the firms, while regular advertising features shine a spotlight on local businesses, and we are happy to report their good news in the paper and online.

“We give our readers a voice via our community news and letters pages.”
