Your Local Mid-Devon Advertiser Team
The communities we serve: We are the local paper for Teignbridge District – from Moor to Sea – taking in Newton Abbot, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Chudleigh and Bovey Tracey.
Our approach to local news: If it happens in Teignbridge we cover it. From councils to courts, community events, carnivals, shows and sports we aim to reflect life in the community we serve. We aim to keep our readers informed of current news and affairs as they affect them. We are your local news service.
What is great about the area we serve: The sense of community and our place in it. Also it happens to be one of the most beautiful parts of the world, from stunning Dartmoor to our glorious coastline.
How we help advertising clients: With more than 130 years of promoting and supporting the businesses of Teignbridge we have offices in the centre of our patch where we are very accessible to customers and have a very friendly approach and a vast amount of local knowledge. Advertising executives work closely with editorial staff to give the best profile to our clients, both in print and online
“We campaign and hold local government to account and encourage debate on the issues that matter.”
- Mid-Devon AdvertiserHow we make a difference: We offer a truly local news service which is valuable in helping to hold our community together. During the pandemic, we were able to highlight where goods and services were needed and the help available at a very local level for the people who needed it. We have informed people of their local vaccination and booster clinics. We campaign and hold local government to account and encourage debate on the issues that matter to the people of Teignbridge.
Our history: The newspaper that was to become the Mid-Devon Advertiser was born in Newton Abbot in 1863. From black and white broad sheet to full colour tabloid we have brought you all the local news every week since then. Moving with the times the Mid-Devon Advertiser and its sister titles the Dawlish Gazette and the Teignmouth Post have a new-look website to provide you with your local news seven days a week.
