Search on for Isle of Man Awards for Excellence winners

The Media Isle of Man Awards for Excellence are being staged once again to showcase the very best of Manx businesses and community initiatives.

Entries are being sought for the annual awards event, which has become synonymous with the island’s standing as a buoyant and unique destination for business success, growth and prosperity.

The awards website says: “It embraces key elements of our Government’s economic strategy, celebrates our island’s entrepreneurial spirit, and highlights the rich opportunities presented by its welcoming community.

“Its 19th year, the 2025 event and supporting campaign provides a powerful and important platform to encourage and nurture entrepreneurs, inspire growing businesses, attract inward investment, bring community together, and engage followers from around the world.

“Award categories are designed, curated and refreshed each year, taking inspiration from emerging markets at the core of the island’s economic growth and sustained success.”

In total 16 categories are up for grabs and entries can be made online until noon on Thursday 11 September.

Awards range

The categories include: Business of the Year, Celebrating Local Food & Drink, Community Initiative of the Year, Digital Innovation of the Year, Education & Learning Initiative of the Year, Elevating Our Creative Industries, Employer of the Year, Environmental Initiative of the Year, Excellence in Customer Service, Freedom to Flourish, Health & Wellbeing Initiative of the Year, Leader of the Year, New Business of the Year, Nurturing our Arts, Culture and Heritage, Small and Medium Size Enterprise, and Teams Working Together.

The 2024 ceremony, held last November, saw 16 prizes awarded to leading businesses and individuals from the local community.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was deservedly presented to the recently knighted Sir Mark Cavendish for his services to sport in the Isle of Man and his incredible cycling career which recently saw him become the man with the most Tour De France stage wins.

The Business of the Year Award was won by the International Finance Group (IFG), while the Leader of the Year Award went to John Knight, the CEO of Hospice Isle of Man. Hospice Isle of Man were also awarded with Employer of the Year.
