
The latest radio listening figures see Guernsey’s Island FM grow average listening hours to the highest since 2017, up 13 per cent compared to last quarter and a huge 59 per cent year-on-year.
Tindle Radio stations now reach 78,500 weekly listeners across the Channel Islands – up 700 compared to previous survey and 4,100 year-on-year.
RAJAR is the independent survey which tracks listening for both commercial and BBC stations. This release covers the period concluding December 2024.
The latest RAJAR radio listening figures for Q4 2024 published today see Island FM in Guernsey grow its average listening hours to the highest level since 2017, each listener now tunes in for a huge 13.5 hours every week.
The growth in time spent listening has propelled Island FM’s market share to a mighty 39.1 per cent, the biggest of any station, BBC or commercial, in the British Isles.
A few miles across Gulf of Saint-Malo, Tindle stablemate Channel 103 in Jersey has grown its audience to 49,500, or 56 per cent of the island’s population, the highest reach percentage of any station in RAJAR survey.
Channel 103 broadcasts to Jersey on 103.7FM, online and DAB+. Island FM broadcasts to Guernsey on 104.7FM, Alderney on 93.7FM as well as online and DAB+.
Year-on-year the station’s audience has grown by more than 3,000.
