Finalists announced for Media Isle of Man Awards For Excellence

The finalists have been announced for the 2023 Awards for Excellence, launched by Media Isle of Man to celebrate the island’s best business and community initiatives.

Sixteen prizes are up for grabs at the glittering ceremony next month, which will see leading businesses and individuals from the local community honoured for their achievements during the last 12 months at an event attended by guests from leading organisations across the island.

As well as business of the year and small / medium sized enterprise of the year awards, there are a range of categories including leader of the year, new business of the year, excellence in customer service and digital innovation of the year.

Competitive categories

The finalists for the AI Strategy Ninja award for business of the year include AFD Software, Extra Fancy and Soaral. Up for the Capital International Group award for new business of the year are Ruth Cooil Physiotherapy, Sounded, Stacuity and Therapaws.

The Paragon award for employer of the year sees the finalists include Barclays, Capital International Group, Games Global and Standard Bank.

The Heron & Brearley award for community initiative of the year sees Cancer Research UK – Relay For Life Isle of Man Committee up against Castletown Town Commissioners, Manx Mencap and the Children’s Centre.

The awards evening will be held at the Villa Marina’s Royal Hall on Thursday 16 November 2023.

Previous winners

Last year’s awards saw the Manx Telecom Award for Breakthrough New Business of the Year go to Recyclecollect.im, the Heron & Brearley Award for Scale-up Business of the Year presented to Crimson Panda and the Exo Technologies Award for Business Transformation of the Year handed to Waltons Direct.

The Cherry Godfrey Award for Leader of the Year went to Katherine Ellis while Lexington Award for Business of the Year was won by PDMS.
