Four prizes for Midlands 103 at industry awards

Our radio station in Ireland Midlands 103 has landed four prizes from five nominations at the IMRO Radio Awards.

Midlands 103 won gold for ‘Are You Blind or What’ by Ann Marie Kelly in the Music, Arts and Culture Documentary category, silver for 25 Years is a Long Way Baby by Peter Dunne in the Music Special/ Music Event category and bronze for Ronan Berry’s Saturday View in the Magazine Programme sector.

Midlands 103 also won bronze in the Local Station of the Year category.

The winners were announced at a ceremony on October 4th at the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny.

The IMRO Radio Awards mark the very best in Irish radio broadcasting and recognise those who have made contributions over the year.

Serving the counties of Laois, Offaly and Westmeath, Midlands 103 is a full service local station offering speech and music programming across a broad schedule.

The message of Feel Good Radio guides not only the station’s relationship with listeners but with staff and clients as well.

Ann Marie Kelly had also been shortlisted for Specialist Music Broadcaster of the Year.
