New addition to Channel Islands DAB digital radio multiplex

Tindle’s local DAB multiplex in the Channel Islands has welcomed its 20th radio station.

Boom Radio has gone live to an additional 160,000 potential listeners across Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney, broadcasting in DAB+.

Boom is home to legendary radio presenters including ‘Diddy’ David Hamilton at lunchtimes, TV’s Judi Spiers, the great Jenny Hanley, the old pirate broadcaster Roger Day, Graham Dene and Nicky Horne from the early days of London’s Capital Radio; and Les Ross – one of the most famous Birmingham broadcasters.

Boom is headed by radio industry veterans Phil Riley and David Lloyd and is aimed at baby boomers, the generation of people born between 1946 and 1964, and is the first radio station in the UK to specifically target this age demographic. Find out more at boomradiouk.com.

A limited amount of capacity remains for broadcasters looking to target the Channel Islands – interested stations should email [email protected]
