Businesses can now sponsor the weather reports on our websites through an innovative AI-driven marketing programme.
The new initiative, available across our network of respected regional news websites, sees technology used to compile automated weather reports from high-quality sources, published daily between 5am and 6am on each website.
The reports become the first story published on each site every morning, remaining prominently displayed throughout the day and shared automatically across social media platforms.
The comprehensive sponsorship packages include branding and logo placement within the weather reports, complete site takeover advertising on weather pages, social media sharing to local audiences, prominent newspaper advertisements and dedicated news articles announcing the partnership. All packages are offered on an exclusive basis with an initial three-month commitment.
Neil Webster, Tindle’s Commercial Digital Officer, said the new offering gave local advertisers an innovative way of tapping into a national talking point.
He said: “The British weather means there is always something happening or the promise of it, which means apparently, on average, British people talk about the weather up to five times a day.
Valuable content
“We are proud to introduce our sponsorship packages across our local market leading news websites. The weather reports use cutting-edge technology and provide an excellent way for local businesses to increase awareness and engagement.
“They are available on every website and are already proving popular as we currently have a number sold around the network.”
Brian Alford, founder of technology partner Bright Sites, commented: “This innovative approach demonstrates how local publishers can harness AI technology to create valuable, engaging content while providing meaningful advertising opportunities for local businesses.
“The daily weather report format ensures consistent, high-impact visibility.”
The sponsorship programme represents the latest phase of our broader digital transformation, which includes modernising news websites with contemporary designs to enhance user experience and increase engagement across its portfolio.
Tindle publishes respected local brands across Surrey, Hampshire, the South West, Wales and the Isle of Man, with print and digital titles including Isle of Man Today, Cambrian News, the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Review, Cornish Times and Farnham Herald.
Packages are available on a localised basis and subject to availability, with activation possible within five working days.
