Tindle Newspapers Surrey & Hampshire Ltd has purchased the Woking News & Mail, extending its reach into the local Surrey marketplace.
Tindle Newspapers Surrey & Hampshire Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tindle Newspapers Ltd.
Promoted as “Woking’s independent, family-owned newspaper” the Woking News & Mail is published on a weekly basis, with news and information uploaded to its website wokingnewsandmail.co.uk.
Woking News & Mail employees, who have been notified of the sale, will join Tindle Newspapers Surrey & Hampshire Ltd. The heritage of the Woking News & Mail dates back to its launch in 1894.
Tindle Newspapers is one of the largest privately-owned local media companies in the UK, with newspapers and news websites covering communities in Surrey & Hampshire as well as Cornwall, Devon, Isle of Man, Somerset, Essex and Wales.
Strengthen reach
The Group also owns market leading radio stations in the Channel Islands and Ireland.
