Businesses and retailers across the midlands of Ireland are celebrating after wins at the Midlands 103 Customer Service Awards, organised by the Tindle radio station.
More than 500 people attended the gala event in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Sunday night, organised by our station, which bills itself as “Feel Good Radio”.
The event honours businesses, services and individuals from across counties Laois, Offaly and Westmeath.
Over 12,000 nominations were made in the 60 plus categories.
An independent judging panel, which includes the Rose of Tralee and Westmeath’s Rachel Duffy, Portlaoise Motoring Journalist Bob Flavin, Star of Netflix and BBC’s Glow Up James McInerney from Laois, Dermot Jewell from The Consumers Association, Ciara Crossan founder & CEO of weddingdates.ie and Architect and Home of the Year’s Hugh Wallace, spent many long hours studying the individual submissions and researching the nominees.
The annual event is presented by Midlands 103 and proudly sponsored by AllPro Recruitment, Laois and Offaly County Councils and various commercial partners.
Managing Director Will Faulkner says “well done to all the winners and to the nominees in this year’s awards. This year, we saw an 20% increase in the number of nominations. We also introduced a new category for the agriculture sector which proved to be very popular.”
