Our newly refurbished Brecon & Radnor Express office was officially reopened last month.
Cllr John Powell, Mayor of Brecon, was on hand to cut the ribbon of the offices, located on the first floor of the historic 11 Bulwark building in Brecon’s town centre.
The building’s lobby, along with the upstairs floors, has been fully renovated to modern standards after being closed for around a year while the work took place.
The newly revamped space features an eye-catching carpet and wallpaper combo in the lobby and stairwell inspired by the building’s Georgian past.
Regional editor Liz Davies said: “It’s fantastic to have the office open again, and we’ll be here five days a week.
“Having a presence back on the high street is incredibly important to us, and we’re excited to welcome the public back, whether they have inquiries, a story, or just want to chat with one of the team.”
Networking events
In conjunction with the opening, a networking event for local businesses was held, drawing attention to the office’s role as a hub for community engagement.
The popular networking events, hosted in various venues around Brecon during the time the B&R office was closed, will now take place regularly at the office, providing an ideal opportunity for professionals to connect and locals to drop in with their news stories.
The events offer a great opportunity to connect with the community, meet the team behind the publication, and network with other local professionals. Attendees can enjoy tea, coffee, and usually a piece of cake in a relaxed atmosphere.
Scott Wood, managing director of Tindle Newspapers, said: “We are pleased to reaffirm our commitment to Brecon with this refurbished office space, creating an enhanced working environment for our staff while reinforcing our strategy of maintaining high-visibility premises in the communities we serve.
“Our continued presence in Brecon underscores our dedication to producing trusted local content that matters to local people and provides valuable opportunities for local advertisers.”
