The editor of the Crediton Courier has continued to promote the title and its impact with another community group talk.
After the Devon news brand celebrated its 50th birthday in December, Alan Quick has spent time talking to local groups about its history and its focus on reporting on the key issues in the area.
An article on the Courier website explains: The February meeting of Mid Devon Farming Life Group was held at the Waie Inn Zeal Monachorum when the speaker was Alan Quick, editor of the Crediton Courier.
Alan gave a very interesting talk about the history of the newspaper.
He explained how things have changed and how it has evolved with new technology.
Members were shown old editions of the Crediton Courier going back to the first edition, which brought back memories of years gone bye.
Alan finished the talk with some amusing stories.
Ruth Friend, group co-ordinator, said it was great to see so many attend, including some new faces.
The group organises visits as well as talks, further details from Ruth on 01363 82326 or Sarah Chown on 01363 84255.
